 BENEFICIARIES

The beneficiaries targeted by the proposed programme will include:

The Government
President, Cabinet, Members of Parliament of Uganda, Ministry of Finance planning and Economic Development (MFPED), Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries (MAAIF), Ministry of Tourism, Trade and Industry (MTTI), PEAP Secretariat, PMA Secretariat, MTCS Office, district LCs, 

Non-governmental actors: 
Journalists, CSOs, CBOs, Private sector organizations, farmers and farmers' associations and cooperatives, academics and research institutions.

Development partners
International development NGOs, bilateral and international donor agencies, all embassies accredited to Uganda.

Selection of Beneficiaries 

The government
The President and the Cabinet formulate the budget and other economic policies. 
Parliament is the legislative authority, which gives approval to the budget proposals submitted by the government. 

Civil Society
This especially organised groups, by creating awareness as well as interests in budgets so as to encourage them to engage decision-makers on budgets. 

Journalists and the press 
The press is very important because of their role of information dissemination. Most of what the public knows comes form other sources to press and then to the people.  

Development partners
International development NGOs, bilateral and international donor agencies, all embassies accredited to Uganda play a vital component in poverty reduction and wealth creation.
