Proposed thrust of the Private Sector Forum
The Private Sector Forum is envisaged to serve as integral platform for private sector actors and organisations that have an inherent interest in supporting the economic and social life of local communities through Corporate Social Impact Investment. The PSF is expected to stimulate discussions on the opportunities, benefits, challenges and Knowledge sharing on what is being done in the SII ecosystem in Uganda to better understanding of the concept.
The main objectives of the Private Sector Forum are;
- To facilitate a public discussion on why Corporate social Impact Investment is crucial for responsible businesses in order to foster sustainable development in Uganda
- To provide a platform for impact investors operating in the country with an opportunity to network, share lessons, and learn from peers.
The Private Sector Forum will bring together experts and participants from foreign embassies in Uganda; financial institutions; Insurance companies; Beverage companies; Mobile Network Operators; Energy companies; Government ministries, departments and public schools; agriculutural companies, Media houses, Youth audiences; NGOs operating in the thematic area, as well as academia. The invitation will also be open to the general public.
